PRIVATE LESSONS

Our instructors bring an expert approach to training musicians and performers of all ages. Lessons will include regular focus on the technical aspects, while respecting the individual needs of each student. Instruction includes performance opportunities throughout the year in recitals and online events. 

A private music lesson may include some or all of the following:

  • Repertoire

  • Technical exercises

  • Sight & ear training

  • Music theory

  • Improving motor skills

A private acting or movement lesson may include some or all of the following:

  • Fundamental dance steps

  • Movement for stage

  • Key acting techniques

  • Characterization study

Our music instructors have extensive experience in Royal Conservatory of Music and Conservatory Canada curriculums. Our movement instructors also have training and certifications in BATD (British Association of Teachers of Dancing) & ADAPT (Associated Dance Arts for Professional Teaching. If desired, students can receive expert exam preparation. NAA students have regularly pursued  professional careers in performance and received acceptance into prestigious University Music Programs at the Graduate and Undergraduate levels across Canada and the U.S. Others have developed a lifetime love of performing that make them core participants in many community musical groups.

 

Musicians may choose to study classical, musical theatre, jazz, and/or popular repertoire. Students taking movement may choose to explore styles including Theatre, Tap, and Jazz.

Lessons are available in 30, 45 or 60 minute slots. Instructors can advise which time slots will best meet your needs.
